I made 7 printable squishy toys that kids can cut, assemble, and stuff to create their own paper squishies. The set includes a purple galaxy, butter, cheese, pizza, chocolate cake, a blue pencil, and a pink pencil.
The best part? The backgrounds are white instead of being completely covered in color, so you can print these squishy templates without using a ton of printer ink. I noticed that many printable paper squishy templates use full-color backgrounds, so I wanted to make these a little more printer-friendly.
Free Printable Paper Squishies
These paper squishies are a simple kids craft that doesn’t require many supplies. Kids can make their own collection of squishy toys and even create additional designs of their own.

What You Need
To make your own paper squishies, you’ll need:
- Free printable squishy templates
- Printer
- Scissors
- Glue
- Tissue paper or cotton for stuffing
You can also use other lightweight materials you have at home for stuffing your squishies.
How to Make Paper Squishies
Making these DIY paper squishies is easy enough for kids to do with a little help when needed.
1. Print the Squishy
Choose your favorite design and print the template on regular printer paper.
Tip: The backgrounds are intentionally white to help save printer ink!
2. Cut It Out
Carefully cut around the outside of the squishy using scissors.
3. Fold and Glue
Fold the paper in half and glue the edges together. Leave a small opening so you can add the stuffing.
4. Add the Filling
Stuff your paper squishy with a small amount of tissue paper or cotton. Don’t overfill it if you want it to have a little squish.
5. Seal It
Glue the remaining opening closed and allow the glue to dry completely.
6. Squeeze!
Once your paper squishy is dry, it’s ready to play with.
