The board has a line down the middle, giving each child their own side. Kids can sit across from each other and use the board to show which candy they are offering and what they would like to trade.
There are also three simple symbols to help kids make decisions:
- X – No, I don’t want this trade.
- + – I’d like to add something to the trade.
- ✓ – Deal! We have a trade.
The simple layout makes it easy for kids to understand without needing a lot of instructions.
How to Use the Candy Trading Board
After trick-or-treating, let kids spread out their candy and choose a few pieces they’d be willing to trade.
Have two kids sit across from each other with the Halloween candy trading board between them.
They can then:
- Choose a piece of candy to offer.
- Place it on their side of the board.
- Decide what they’d like in exchange.
- Use the X, +, or check mark to respond.
